London, Canada 19 contributions 2 helpful votes. This was out first trip to Southampton. We were charmed by the little town. Slow pace. Wonderful walking path. Barb was a great host and we were happy with our time at her little paradise. The room was dated but comfortable and large enough for our family. It was amazing being able to look out at the beach all day and watch the stunning Lake Huron sunsets.

This was our first time at the Bluewater and I really can't say enough about the view. We had the seabird room on the second floor and the sunset was gorgeous, the view of lake huron is spectacular. Definitely no complaints there. However, the room is very dated which really isn't an issue but I also found it quite musty.

I suffer from asthma so this is a bit of an issue for me. Ordinarily we wouldn't spend much time in the room but our second day there, it rained for a good portion of the day so we were kind of stuck.

First time staying here and for the reasonable price we paid we were happy. We rented one of the cabins with a kitchenette which had all you need except a kitchen towel. Nice and clean. Stone fire place is a nice feature and adds character and romance to the room. Shower is a little tired but worked fine.

Spend the Night

Great location- quick walk to town, nice walking and biking trails, 16 km to Sauble beach if you desire. Appreciated the chairs and tables equipped with umbrellas on the beach. Watched the sunset from there both evenings and enjoyed having breakfast there too. Parker House Motel. Great rate and perfect, basic room for me. Bed, clean Dreamz Inn. Large TV, microwave, fridge and sitting area, and a workstation for laptop. Booked the jacuzzi room, which was large, and had a king size bed Silver Birch Motel.

It actually pains me to write this review but I have to be honest in my review. I picked this motel because of the reviews especially about how clean the rooms were as I Harmony Inn. It is clean, with a clean bathroom and all amenities. In my opinion it is overpriced for a one star motel. Some door handlers need fixing, cleaning was not done daily.

The place is between We were a little apprehensive staying in a hotel during the pandemic, but the hotel had all precautions in place, and the room was very clean. Cedar Lodge Motel. Hotel Bedford. Maple Leaf Motel. Our cozy and restful stay added much to our enjoyment of this pretty town. The Goderich Visitor Information Samuels Boutique Hotel.

Visit hotel website. Village Inn Motel. The rooms are absolutely spotless, the bed is comfortable and the owners have made nice updates. We had a very comfortable Dunlop Motel. Nothing crazy, but they did paint, remove old carpet, and update some furniture and fixtures Country Side Motel. No racing traffic or sirens.

If I were a trucker and needed a place to rest enroute to London and beyond, I would stay here. Clean fresh smelling bedding. Microwave and fridge. The only reason they get away with being so overpriced is because they are the only hotel in town. Rosecourt Motel. The owners were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. Very quiet area of Stratford.

Lighthouse Inn. The water here is crystal-clear and can be cold, so you probably won't find yourself lingering. The water is warmest if you stay close to shore. Killbear is one of the most popular provincial parks in Ontario and has seven campgrounds set in tall trees, all within a five-minute walk of the water. The northern coastline of Lake Superior has incredible long stretches of amber-colored sand with shallow, crystal-clear waters, and the beach at Agawa Bay in Lake Superior Provincial Park is one of the best.

This is a particularly beautiful place for families looking for a camping beach vacation. You could be forgiven for thinking you are in the Caribbean as you sit in your beach chair and gaze out at the seemingly endless vista of blue water stretching to islands and the horizon beyond. However, you will be quickly brought back to reality when you step into the bracingly cool and refreshing water. One of the most enjoyable experiences in the park is to camp along the edge of the beach. Lovely waterfront campsites are set in the sand under large pine trees.

You can crawl into your sleeping bag and be lulled to sleep by the gently lapping waves. Toronto Centre Island beach. The beaches of Toronto Islands are only a minute ferry ride away from Toronto's skyscrapers, but when you sit on the sand and gaze out over the water, you feel as though you are a million miles away.

The easiest beach, and perhaps the nicest, is Centre Island Beach. To get here, just walk off the ferry and follow the signs to the far side of the island. You'll pass an impressive garden of flowering plants along the way. This wide, south-facing beach has light brown sand and is a pleasant place to walk and lie in the sun. Just back from the beach is a small concession stand selling snacks, along with washrooms and change rooms.
